Hanno raggiunto l’enclave nuotando o camminando con la bassa marea dalle spiagge del vicino Marocco

Almeno 5.000 migranti, tra cui un migliaio di minori, sono riusciti a raggiungere ieri l’enclave spagnola nordafricana di Ceuta. Un record di arrivi in un solo giorno che fa crescere le tensioni tra Spagna e Marocco. Un portavoce della delegazione del governo spagnolo a Ceuta ha detto che si tratta di numeri senza precedenti, aggiungendo che i migranti hanno raggiunto l’enclave nuotando o camminando con la bassa marea dalle spiagge del vicino Marocco.

Diverse decine di loro hanno scavalcato la barriera di confine e sono riusciti ad entrare nella città di Melilla in diversi gruppi. Nella zona è stato dispiegato l’esercito per contenere le centinaia di persone che aspettano sull’altro lato della frontiera. La pressione dei migranti va avanti da ore anche se finora sono riusciti a entrare a piccoli gruppi.
