Israeli occupation exploiting the epidemic covid 19 to abuse the Palestinian Freedom Prisoners!!!

Yesterday , Tuesday, the Palestinian Prisoners Club announced that the Israeli Prison Administration has reported an infection, a prisoner with the “Corona” virus, bringing the number of infections since the second of November to more than 100 injuries, most of them were collected by the occupation in Gilboa prison where Israeli occupation arrested more than 360 who are facing difficult and dangerous conditions, and living in grave concern for their fate, especially the sick prisoners. The prisoner club said, in a statement, that the state of anxiety is escalating among the prisoners, as new infections continue to be recorded in their ranks after 15 days have passed since the virus infection spread in the prison . The prisoners called on all the competent authorities to take action and put pressure on the occupation, in order to ensure the provision of the necessary preventive measures for them, as they are forced to buy most of their needs on their own account, including masks, cleaning materials, and so on. The club held the occupation prisons administration full responsibility for the lives of the prisoners, considering that the continued spread of the epidemic inside the prisons portends a disaster, as it constitutes a fertile environment for the spread of diseases, especially with the lack of necessary preventive measures, and the Israeli administration of prisons continuing to exploit the epidemic to abuse the prisoners. The Prisoners Club called on international human rights institutions, led by the United Nations and the World Health Organization, to press the occupation to release the more than 4,500 prisoners, of whom 40 are women, 170 children, and 370 administrative detainees, especially the sick and elderly prisoners, and to stop the daily arrests, and to allow the existence of a neutral medical committee to supervise the prisoners ‘health, and to ensure that the necessary preventive measures are provided within the prisoners’ sections.
