Ramallah (QNN)- The Israeli government approved the construction of new settlement units in the village of Taqqu’ in Bethlehem on Monday.

the head of the Commission against the Wall and Settlement in Bethlehem Hasan Ibrejiyyeh, said the occupation state approved the construction of new settlement units in the illegal settlement of Nokadim, which was created on the of the villages of Taqqu’ and Beit Ta’mar.

The occupation state has approved to construct thousands of settlement units in Bethlehem during the last few weeks.

According to the Palestinian Statistics Center, the occupation state has 503 illegal settlements in the West Bank and Jerusalem, where nearly 653,620 settlers live.

Israeli settlements occupy 11% of the West Bank land, while 18.5% of the West Bank land is declared military zones and the apartheid wall has separated 12% of the West Bank land.
